New Zealand
From January-December 2009 my family was in New Zealand, where these photos were taken of my 2 girls. The puppy pictured, Ambaya was ours as well, for a brief interval because a dusting of privileged Maori magic (long story) allowed her into the family. Unfortunately, she couldn't join in our journey back to Maui. The Maori's, allegedly descendents of Polynesia and Melanesia, are the original people of New Zealand, for anyone reading this who aren't familiar with them.Labels: Autumn 2009, my girls, New Zealand

I am a sucker for a dog photo. Adorable. Lovely photos. I have been to Australia, would love to make it to New Zealand. (btw, came over from TOWHM)
Thank you, it is nice to "see" you. It was my very first venture into dog ownership, since I've been an adult because I've moved too many times. Before my children are grown, one day I hope I'll be settled enough to have a dog again.
