silence

a long while has passed...if for some fortunate reason a soul stumbles upon this threshold, I do hope you are well...

this particular blog sprung from blogging with Pete Townshend and fellow Who fans, so to lightly dust around elements, close to the music: "there once was a note" and in dedication to Meher Baba, "silence", I've recently read an interesting magazine essay, regarding these areas.

the author, Anne Le Clair stressed in the article, the importance of achieving silent time moments. Especially when simple activities of old, such as raking leaves ( now we use leaf blowers) or ironing a shirt (who does that?) automatically forced us into inner contemplation, just by the sheer nature of the chore at hand.

without these mandatory quiet times, she mentions how our inner "song" becomes deadened by the abundance of noise pollution surrounding us.
She recently wrote a book on the subject: "Listen Below the Noise"(I've not read it, yet).
